“Mechanical Belle” was designed as part of a Steampunk collaboration with MarigoldJen, Bunniphish, and myself.

Steampunk is a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology. I love the mechanical yet romantic nature of the Steampunk style. Women in beautifully ornate bustled dresses and fanciful footwear, men with sophisticated fashion, but both with a mechanical edge. This design represents both the straight-edge mechanical side and the romantic side of Steampunk. Use of lace and texture give this sock a look that brings you into the fantasy world of Steampunk.

Marigoldjen dyed up a beautiful colorway named “Copper Patina” and Bunniphish designed an amazing shawl, ”A Cog in the Machine”.
