These mitts are worked in the round from the elbow to the hand, in stockinette stitch. The stripes are worked in tripled embroidery floss, so you don’t have to buy a whole ball of yarn just for a single round!

The positions of the stripes are charted out for colors and row counts.

These mitts were originally designed as a birthday present for a fellow science geek - they feature the emission spectrum for Mercury.
