♥ midsummer night’s dream ♥

Midsummer’s Eve is the shortest night
of the year & brings out all sorts of wee
faery folk looking for fun. To see them
you must only sit very still & rub a bit of
fern seed into your eyes at the stroke of
midnight. Wearing this hood helps too.

the technical stuff
This pattern features a few crocheted chains for vines.
(you could also just knit an icord)

Size: Adult & Child (Child directions in parenthesis.
Child’s size only uses small leaves and moonflowers.)

Yarns used: Aran mohair held double such as:
Classic Elite La Gran Mohair, 50 g - 106 yds - 98 m 78.4% Mohair, 17.3% Wool, 4.3% Nylon.
MC: 6545 Barley 2 balls (hood)
CC1: 6539 Eucalyptus, 1 ball (leaves and vines)
CC2: 6516 Natural, 1 ball (moonflowers & white pips)
CC3: 6538 Raisin, 1 ball (purple pips)
CC4: DK weight wool (antlers) such as: Rowan Scottish Tweed, 50 g - 123yds - 112m, 100% wool, Color porridge, Color No 0024, No. of balls: 1. You could also use CC2 for these.

Tension/gauge:
Work 9 sts to measure 4” in St stitch using US 15 or 10 mm needles with MC yarn held doubled.

Notions:
A pair of US 15 (10 mm) circular needles 24 long,
A set of US 9 (5.5 mm) straight needles & dpns,
stitch markers, tapestry needle, F & K crochet hooks.
