Mila the Bee is the cuddliest fluffiest baby bumblebee - the squishy body mixes different yarn textures for a very tactile huggable toy. Keep the wings extra flat with a bit of blocking or stuff with crinkle material to make it even more fun for the little ones!

The instructions are written in English in US crochet terms. There are step by step photos detailing how to make the pieces and finish the toy. When made with DK weight chenille yarn and DK weight cotton yarn (sample made in Sirdar Happy Chenille and Happy Cotton) and 3.50mm hook the finished bee will measure 30cm/12in tall from the antennae to the tip of the stinger.

You will need to know how to:

・make a Magic Ring
・work in a round in a continuous spiral
・single crochet
・increase/decrease
・chain stitch
・slip stitch
・half double crochet
・double crochet

You will need the following materials:

Yarn: The bee needs a DK weight chenille or microfibre yarn in black, white and yellow for the body and DK weight cotton yarn in black and white for the details. There is an option to use a faux fur black yarn to add more texture to the body and a gold thread for the crown.
