this bottom-up sweater with a simple, geometric back detail, is knit in one piece to the armholes. the sleeves are knit flat and seamed after being set in. the pattern features turned picot hems and a simple crab stitch edging.

this pattern is written for an open cardigan, with a space between the fronts; it is not meant to close without some stretching, which is entirely possible (with little distortion) with the drapey fabric created by terra due to its silk and alpaca content. if you choose to use a different yarn, please keep this in mind!

pattern shown in the finished size 36, worn with 4 inches of negative ease at the bust. thanks to melissa labarre for photos and kirsten hipsky for tech editing!
