This charming hood will keep you warm however cold the wind may blow. Knitted in a simple single rib, this pattern is a very quick and easy knit.

This is a simple pattern suitable for beginner knitters. The pixie hood is knitted separately with shaping added at the centre back for a more comfortable fit. The front of the scarf is folded back and the scarf is then sewn in place over the bottom seam. The scarf can easily be made longer to suit personal taste but more yarn will be needed although there is 100 metres more yarn in your 4 balls. Tip: First knit the hood then put 2 or three metres aside for sewing together the scarf and hood, then knit the scarf until all the yarn used up.

This pattern is part of my Vintage Gifts to Knits booklet which is available now either as an e-book or as a printed booklet or the patterns can be purchased individually as PDFs via ravelry.
