A knit throw that highlights classic lines and minimalist design to complement modern urban décor. Subtle texture stitches accent each of the four panels, over which brightly coloured lines are then crocheted or stitched. The ribbed border unites the panels and finishes the piece with quiet sophistication. Throw it over a chair or couch, use it as a bedspread or at the end of a bed.

Use a 6mm circular needle (29 in / 74 cm) to accommodate length when adding ribbed trim to the afghan. Depending whether you intend to crochet or stitch your colourful lines, you will either need a 4 mm crochet hook or a needle for stitching. This pattern is good for beginners and for mindless knitting as the pattern repeat is fairly simple and the blanket knits up in pieces.

Note: The pattern includes both a chart and written instructions.
