One day, my aunt told me that staying at home everyday makes her unable to tell what day is today … a simple reason for me to design Seven Brioche Hats for A WEEK. The patterns are named Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They are not by order of difficulty but the order that I finished the designs.

A WEEK consists of basic Brioche Knitting skills (brk, brp, brRsl & brLsl & br4st dec, brkyobrk, br4st inc … brioche cable stitches, tuck stitches). In addition, I re-arranged some stitches (ss-brk, pyop, pyo2p …) for the patterns.

Monday Details:
Skills: k, brk, brp, sl1yo, brkyobrk, br4st inc, brLsl / brRsl / br4st dec, ss-brk
Yarn Col A Pink: Kartopu BABY SOFT Color K791 100g 330m 80% Acrylic 20% Polymide
Yarn Col B Black: Kartopu BABY SOFT Color K940 100g 330m 80% Acrylic 20% Polymide
Estimated Finished Size: 52cm circumference x 25cm height (without blocking)
Estimated Yarn Consumption: Col A 30g / Col B 30g
Needles and Others: 4mm x 40cm circular / 4mm x 17cm double pointed knitting needles / a cable needle or a stitch marker for br4st dec
Size: One size only. I usually knit loosely. If you knit tightly, you can use needles of a larger size. Besides, as the number of pattern repeats may not be changed easily, I suggest using needles of a smaller or larger size for minor size adjustments.

All Brioche definitions (and abbreviations etc) are being used with permission from Nancy Marchant. For more details, please refer to the following books:
-Knitting Fresh Brioche, Creating Two-Color Twists & Turns
-Knitting Brioche – The Essential Guide to the Brioche Stitch
I enjoy reading both books, more I read, more I learn and more ideas I gain.

I knit for cancer patients, elderlies and animals, and all Hat Patterns are designed for charity. Your purchase means your support to me. If you are a charity knitter, just leave a comment and I will send the pattern as a gift and my support to you. Thank you!

The Monday Pattern is the 19th pattern of “Memory 50”.
”Memory 50” is a special project to myself, for myself - to publish 50 patterns before Mid-September 2020.
I know it sounds crazy, but I’ll give it my best shot.
