A design as luxurious as the fiber with which you knit it; Moonlit Kiss invites you to create something special. Whether planned for a first date, a midnight rendezvous, or catching up with friends under the starry night sky, Moonlit Kiss transforms the phases of life as seen in the lunar calendar to stunning knitted lace.

Construction: worked top down with Lindsay’s Disappearing Cast On ™ to under the arms. Front and back are joined and worked seamlessly, with faux seam details for ease of blocking. Pick up and knit sleeves are also worked seamlessly top down with a matching faux seam detail. Stitches are picked up for the optional cowl detail. The lace is worked separately and seamed in.

The tech edited and test knit intermediate+ level pattern is fully written with a schematic. The lace is fully written and charted. Two how-to’s, Lindsay’s Disappearing Cast On ™ and how to create the invisible hem, are available on the Knit Eco Chic blog.

Blocked Gauge:
24 sts and 29 rows over 4”/ 10cm in Stockinette stitch on smaller needle. Note: If substituting yarn, make sure your blocked Stockinette stitch gauges match and follow the “If subbing yarn” sections throughout the pattern.

Special Notes:
Swatch It: make sure to swatch a large stockinette section, wash, dry, and hang before taking your gauge. 100% silk has a tendency to relax and grow.
Substitute It: if subbing yarn, make sure your stitch gauge matches and follow the “if subbing yarn” sections throughout the pattern.
