Moos-imo and his son Junior are an adorable set of Alberta moose - an addition to the collection of moose stuffies that my friend owns. A few years ago she asked me to make a knit moose for her collection and ever since it has been a “Christmas gift to herself” as she waits to see what I will create for her growing group of moose ornaments.
Moos-imo is 7” tall sitting as he squats to ski down the slopes. He is worked in Astra yarn and his skis are made with popsicle sticks.
Junior is worked in Schachenmayr Baby Smiles yarn and stands only 4” tall as he sits on his wee sled and tries to keep up with his daddy. The pdf includes instructions to make the skis and sled.
Moos-imo and Junior are a quick and easy knit. The stitches used are moss stitch, stocking stitch, short rows for their knees and elbows, and of course kfb and pfb increases.
