In need of some bewitching drama? Cast on Morticia. The sweater starts with the upper right and left shoulders, which are joined when the back neckline is cast on. After the back is knit down to the bottom of the armholes, it’s placed on hold and stitches are picked up from each shoulder for the front, which is knit similarly to the upper back. The body is joined in the round when stitches are cast on for the underarms, and then it’s worked down with waist and hip shaping. Twisted ribbing adds the finishing touch to the bottom hem. To add the sleeves, stitches are picked up around the arm holes and shaped with short rows in mesh stitch. After the seamless sleeve cap, the 1960s-inspired full sleeves are worked evenly in mesh stitch until they’re dramatically decreased at the wrist. A deep neckband completes Morticia. For the best fit, choose a size with 0-4 in / 0-10 cm of negative ease through the bust.

The stitch pattern is included in written format only.
