• This pattern is written using American Terminology and it has been designed to be used as a trim/border on any and all types of garments that you wish to revamp, decorate or simply add extra colour to make it look more interesting

• The mosaic can be worked using waistcoat stitch, single crochet or back loop single crochet

• The pattern is worked top down using two strands of yarn in contrasting colours

• Feel free to use matching or scrap yarn with similar gauge as the garment you are adding the mosaic to

• You may work the mosaic straight onto the garment or you can work it separately by starting with chains, then the mosaic and when it is complete, you can sew or slip stitch it onto the desired garment

• this mosaic can be used as short sleeves on tops and dresses as well as replacement for ribbing on sweaters, ponchos, cardigans…
