Moss Berry is a quick reversible hat that is knit in a chunky yarn. The berry pattern creates texture that is reminiscent of the berry clusters in raspberries and blackberries. The reverse side has an interesting woven look to it. The hat can be worn with either side facing out depending on how you feel that day.

The hat is designed with two inches negative ease for a fit that is snug but not too tight. The pattern has instructions for 5 different head circumferences.

It uses 1 skein of Malabrigo Chunky or the same yardage in any other bulky yarn. I like a yarn with a little bit of sheen, as this helps to emphasize the texture.

The hat is knit in the round on 5 double pointed needles or 2 circular needles.

The berry pattern uses purl stitches, k2tog and slipped stitches. Keeping accurate stitch count is important.
