The Mountain and Plains Shawl is a rectangular stole comprised of two lace patterns, one charted and one written, to give you practice and hone your skills with each type of lace knitting notation. The patterns used in Mountain and Plains Shawl are versions of traditional Shetland lace stitches. Working the lace with a DK weight yarn and a larger needle than is traditional gives the structure of the lace patterns a wonderful showcase.
