A silk shawl in a simple lace pattern which starts with a regular double eyelet created by yarn overs and knitting stitches together, this then blends into a lace panel. Whilst it helps to have some lace experience, it is also a good project for someone new to lace work.
The sample is made using Louisa Harding Mulberry which is a double knit yarn and 100% silk (approx. 370m needed). A yarn with no silk may not produce the same drape. The colour is Sweet Dreams (shade 29).
The shawl is a traditional triangle starting from the back of the neck working downwards. Increases are on every alternate row and are by yarn overs.
Finished size 160cm by 70cm, when blocked.
