A classic sweatercoat in a tweedy yarn, with a little fun and feminine detail thrown in.
This pattern is perfect when you want simple, quick knitting with a few cool details. The rustic look and gauge make it adaptable for any number of great tweeds and rustic yarns out there.
A stem and leaf motif on the front and back meets at the shoulder and reverse seams around the arms echo the stems. A deep, notched collar brings the attention upwards , and twisted toggles around heavy, off-the-band buttons hold things closed. It’s meant to hit at the hip, and a gradual A line adds shape.
Some easy mods: Length can be adjusted by simply working more or less before the armholes. Additional shaping can be created by adjusting your toggle lengths during finishing, and the collar can also be modified to be less or more prominent, depending on your taste.
