„Oh look! A lady bird!“ - next to nothing brings out a smile in spring then spotting these knobby, red beetles with dots. The bright and happy red in contrast to the dark spots brings back life after a rather dreary winter. The lively colors from nature are and the lady bird as a lucky charm were inspirations for this geometrical shawl. The intricate lace at the end is a reminiscence of the lady birds wings.

The name “Mutschekitchen” is german dialect for ladybird.

The shawl is worked top down. The doted part is worked with two colors at the same time. The border between the dots and the lace is worked with a vertical line of stitches worked in contrast colour. The lace border is only in one colour and can be adjusted.
