Nami (pronounced NAH-mee) is named after the Japanese word for ‘wave’. This seamless, bottom-up, cap-sleeved tee with simultaneous set-in sleeves features a deep ribbed hem, simple lace body, V-neck and single crochet edging for a clean finish.
Stitches are cast on at the hem and worked in the round to the underarm, then sleeve stitches are cast on provisionally and joined to front and back stitches for working in the round. Stitches are decreased away as for set-in sleeves, and after shoulder shaping is complete the front and back shoulder stitches are grafted together. Finally single crochet edging is worked to finish the neckline and sleeves.
The lace pattern is worked in the round over a multiple of 9 stitches plus 2, over an easy 2 row repeat. Charts and written instructions are provided.
Gauge 5 stitches and 8 rows = 1”/2.5cm in 3x1 rib, worked in the round.
