Narrow Lake Mitts is the fourth pattern in the Sweet Little Somethings pattern collection. The collection includes a total of 9 patterns (of which 2 are a matching set). The patterns comprise shawls, scarves, hats, mitts and a cowl.

These stylish mitts are perfect for cool days. Worked in your favourite DK yarn, these easy-to-knit mitts feature an allover droplet lace stitch. The pattern is written for two different sizes and knits up quickly, making them ideal for both gifting and wearing.

TO FIT PALM CIRCUMFERENCE (approx)
S/M, (M/L)
17.5–18.75cm (18.75-20cm) / 7–7.5in (7.5-8in)

YARN REQUIREMENTS (approx)
155, (195)m / 170, (215)yds of any DK yarn

GAUGE
It is difficult to measure gauge consistently in droplet lace as the pattern is so stretchy and because the stitch count varies from row to row. Gauge is therefore also given in stocking stitch for comparative purposes.
22sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4in in droplet lace, slightly stretched widthways
22sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4in in stocking stitch on 4mm/US6 needles

NEEDLES
4mm/US6 DPNs or size needed to get gauge
3.5mm/US4 DPNS or two sizes smaller than the size needed to get gauge.

OTHER STUFF YOU’LL NEED
Stitch markers, scrap yarn/safety pin

NOTES
You will notice that there is a degree of overlap in the sizing of the mitts (S/M and M/L). This is because the stitch pattern in very stretchy. At a push, even someone with a large hand could wear the S/M size.

The Narrow Lake Mitts are designed to match the Narrow Lake Beret, which is also included in the Sweet Little Somethings pattern collection.
