Deutsche Beschreibung weiter unten.

Natsu is a pretty lightweight pullover knit up in fingering weight yarn.

I have been experimenting with the Contiguous Shoulder/Sleeve Method for top-down constructed garments for a while now. I have also designed and published a few patterns using this method, but I was never quite happy with the way the shoulder seam looked.

However, the contiguous method is a super easy way to start a garment from the top down because it does not involve short rows or fiddly ways of cutting yarn and restarting, etc.

Through my experimentation, I have come up with this manner of starting and working a contiguous. I hope that you will enjoy the mystery and surprise as you join us in our Mystery Knit Along.

I have added an elegant, easy to knit, and very pretty Japanese Lace Pattern that is incorporated in different areas of the pullover in ways to flatter the female figure.

During the MKAL, I will be posting instructional technique videos in my English Language Ravelry Group and also in my German Language Ravelry Group. Please come and join the fun! Learn something new!

Sizes: XS (S, M, L1)(L2, XL, 2XL, 3XL) - to fit 34 (36, 38, 40)(42, 44, 48, 52)’’/ 86 (91, 97, 102) (107, 112, 122, 132) cm chest, (the fit of the pullover is a more classic fit, nothing asymmetrical, but fitting and flattering – choose the size that give zero ease or slightly negative ease around the bust)

Yardage: Fingering weight yarn - 1000 (1100, 1200, 1250)(1350, 1450, 1550, 1650) yards/915 (1005, 1100, 1150)(1240, 1325, 1420, 1510) m - for 3/4 long sleeves (for long sleeves, add approx. 100 yards/90 m more yarn)

Yarn Ideas: Wollmeise Pure, Holst Garn Coast, Madelinetosh Merino Light, Dornröschen-Wolle Sockenwolle, Wollwunderwelt Handgefärbte Sockenwolle High Twist, Wollmeise Sockenwolle 80/20 Twin, Malabrigo Yarn Sock, --- I recommend one colored yarn, nothing with multiple colors because the lace pattern will get lost.

Gauge: 24 sts & 36 rows for 4”/10 cm in stockinette (after washing and blocking) on size U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) needles

Needles: U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles - 16” & 32” in length always use the size needle that gets gauge!
U.S. 3 (3.25 mm) circular needles - 16” & 32” in length

U.S. 0 (2 mm) circular needle - 16” in length - used to pick up & knit stitches for the neckband
crochet hook (for provisional cast-on)

Notions: stitch markers (2 different types or colors), scrap yarn to hold stitches, tapestry needle, crochet hook (depending on which provision cast-on method you choose to use)

Please come and join the fun! Learn something new!

3.25 mm & 3.5mm – 40 cm Rundstricknadeln & Nadelspiel
2 mm - 60 cm & 80 cm Rundstricknadeln – um Maschen anzustricken
Häkelnadel – für provisorischen Maschenanschlag

Sonstiges: Maschenmarkierringe (2 verschiedene), Restgarn um Maschen stillzulegen, Stopfnadel
