The pattern for the New Brunswick socks was inspired by pictures of the Bay of Fundy, a popular tourist attraction there. The tides are said to be the most extreme in the world. The slipped stitches remind me of waves left on the sand at low tide.
The yarn works perfectly with the pattern, but if you’re shopping the stash any variegated yarn works really well.
