PATTERN NOTES
This tailored cardigan is simply darling. Twisted ribbing and a beautiful lace motif are details that pop – plus, worked in Bamboo Pop, there are plenty of vibrant colors to choose from! The body and sleeves are worked seamlessly from the bottom up and and joined together at the underarm. The buttonbands are worked separately and seamed onto the body of the sweater – adding just the right amount of structure.

SEWING PATTERN NOTES
This second skirt pattern in the collection uses McCall’s M7253. This skirt pattern is more involved than the other skirt, as this one uses box pleats. But pleats aren’t hard! It’s just a matter of folding and sewing, and as a result, a more fit-and-flare look which is flattering on most any body type.

The 80s and 90s were a definite inspiration for this look. The bright fuchsia of the sweater takes me back to my childhood Lisa Frank sticker collection, while the plaid skirt is reminiscent of my closet full of plaid shirts from the grunge-era. Finished off with green Doc Marten boots straight out of 1994, this outfit is a definite homage to my wonder years.
