Created for a friend of mine living in a much colder climate, using a single skein of slightly bulky cashmere yarn. A closer-fitting cowl that works well layered under a scarf or even tucked inside another looser cowl.

The top set of short rows makes a piece that comes up to cover your nose & cheeks. The bottom set of short rows stretches down to cover the gap between the bottom of a “regular” cowl or scarf and the top of your jacket.

The top part can be easily flipped down to sit under your chin if you need either to speak to someone or to step into a shop without looking like a masked bandit.

N.B. Using the yarn given will be a very close call. You may have only a few feet left over.
