A duo of mug cozies featuring leaf motifs knit in rustic yarns and the colors of fall foliage.

They’re like a warm mitten for your morning cuppa.

THE BASICS

• Pattern contains instructions for BOTH mug cozies

• “OAK” (green cozy) is knit flat on a circular needle

• “ELM” (orange cozy) has a coaster knit right in! The coaster is knit in the round on double pointed needles and the rest of the cozy is then knit flat on a circular needle

• Gauge: 18 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm)

• Knitting skill level - INTERMEDIATE

• Written in English in standard U.S. terms

SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

• Knitting in the round

• Basic increases and decreases

• I-cord

• Tubular bind off

SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED

• Approx. 28 - 37 yds (26 - 34 m) worsted weight yarn for each cozy

• U.S. size 8 (5 mm) circular needle 16” or longer or size needed to obtain gauge

• U.S. size 8 (5 mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• U.S. size 6 (4 mm) double pointed needles or 2 sizes smaller than gauge needle

• Stitch markers

• Cable needle

• Yarn needle

• One 25 mm decorative button for each mug cozy
