These leg warmers were first published in issue 49 of Knit Now magazine. The diagonal basket weave pattern is unusual and very effective, but you will soon pick up the repeating pattern. It is achieved by knitting and purling through back loops.

It is a very dense stitch, so try to keep your tension loose. Keep pulling your completed work into place as you go to give the stitches extra definition. Once you are in the rhythm this is the ideal project for working on whilst you are watching the TV.

They are designed to be worn long and loose with plenty of positive ease.

The pair takes 400-500g of chunky weight yarn.
