A beanie in three sizes featuring a loop pattern with an octopus swimming by. The beanie is knitted in the round, and the octopus is knitted in one piece. The only sewing is to attach the octopus body and tentacles to the hat.

An intermediate knitter should have no trouble with this pattern.

The band and octopus are knitted with fingering weight and the hat is knitted with sport weight. In the hat pictured
