Odin is a sock pattern inspired by the king of gods in the Norse mythology.

The bold cable pattern is inspired by the Nordic symbols. The ring in the centre of the pattern binds together the cable, much as Odin binds together the gods in being the parental offspring to most of them.
The ring also symbolizes Drøpner, Odin’s great golden ring, which on every seventh night drips seven rings identical to itself.

The Odin pattern is the December installment of the MacKintosh Yarns sock club 2009/2010. It will be released to the further public at a later date.
