Why Top Down Socks?
Though I do knit a lot of toe up socks these days (see my Trusty Toe Up Socks pattern for the reasons why!) I am still partial to the fit of a top down sock. For me, nothing fits better than a heel gusset and though it is possible to work a gusset toe up, top down, with a heel gusset is my
happy place.
