This shawl is a standard triangle shape, knit from the top down. 4 increases occur on every right-side row. The project starts with a garter tab.

Most the rows in the body are worked in garter stitch, with sections separated by eyelets and stockinette stitch. The wide border of the shawl is knit in an Old Shale pattern.

Two 56-gram skeins of fingering weight yarn are used for this shawlette. Two colors of yarn are used, although this project could be knit with one color or with a variety of partial skeins.
