This cute little owl knits up really quick! Add some felt appliqué for wings, eyes and a beak and stitch it to a note card and you have a very special card for a child or grandchild, Valentine’s Day, a new baby or someone special.

You could also frame the owl in an inexpensive craft store shadow box for a cute wall decoration.

Or, turn the little owl into a hanging ornament by stitching two pieces of felt together, adding a little stuffing and a piece of yarn for a hanger.

Or, stitch the owl onto a hat or other knitted project.

You get the idea….there’s lots of ways you can use this little knitted owl pattern.

In case you are wondering…”Ole the Owl” is named in memory of my very wise grandfather.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy.

This pattern would be fun to do with a youth group (ages 12 & up with some knitting experience).

Girl Scout leaders….this project would be perfect for teen “OWLS”!
