In 2014, my youngest daughter spent time in the NICU. She was given a cute hat that allowed her IV to poke out the top so that her little head could still be warm. The staff at our NICU were so fabulous and the support families were so generous that I wanted to give something back. I searched the internet for the pattern, but none was to be found. I designed this hat like the hat we were given to that I could make and donate some hats to the NICU. I ask that you do not sell items from this pattern, it is meant to be free for those people who want to donate or make for personal use.
The hat is knit flat and an easy beginner pattern.
