This is a fast and fun to make crochet pattern for an Open Weave Short Sweater. It is sure to become a favorite! This is the perfect dressy layering sweater. We like to layer it over out favorite Downeast Basics white T-shirt and pair it with a matching skirt or jeans. It also looks great when worn over a sleeveless dress. Features a scalloped sleeve and sweater edging. The pattern includes instructions for short sleeves, but you could easily crochet long sleeves by adding rows.

You will make this sweater according to your size. I have included a chart with measurements for each age from newborn to adult woman. You can even make the sweater according to your own measurements. This will make it so that you can use fingering, sport, DK, or worsted weight yarn with beautiful results. You can also use your choice of crochet hook size. I think it is easier to crochet this way, and the end result is the perfect size every time! In the pictures I used fingering weight yarn, and a size E crochet hook.

This pattern includes pictures so that you can be sure your sweater looks the way it needs to as you are making it.
