When I made the Owls sweater by Kate Davies, I thought how nice it would be to knit a matching cowl in two colors giving the owls some branches to sit on and my neck some warmth. The design I came up with is for the intermediate knitter or beginner knitter who is ready to try some new stitches.
Of course I do wear this cowl with other sweaters, too. It is very warm and soft and depending on which side you wear out it shows more of one or the other color. You can easily adjust the size; make it shorter for a fit closer to your neck or longer if you like to wrap it around your neck more than once.
It was fun to design and make and it is fun, fun, fun to wear especially during these cold winter months.

The instructions for the little owl pin are in the pattern, too, but you will need the owls chart from Kate Davies’ Owls pattern.
