A textured, striped crochet hat and mitten set made in light weight yarn and bold colours. Ideal as a gift or to brighten up your winter wardrobe, don’t pare it down, pair it up!

Skills used
This pattern would suit a confident beginner or intermediate crocheter. The pattern uses simple stitches throughout with some fun techniques to create texture and shape.
Both the hat and mittens are crocheted in turned rounds worked from the top down.

Materials
The pattern uses 4ply / fingering weight yarn and a 4mm crochet hook.
For the hat you will need approximately 45(53, 57, 65)g / 179(210, 226, 258)m / 207(237, 248, 294)yds of yarn.
For a pair of mittens you will need approximately 46(50, 59, 70, 78)g / 183(199, 235, 278, 310)m / 202(220, 260, 307, 342)yds of yarn

Finished size
The hat is written in 4 sizes; child(teen/small adult, adult, large adult) with a finished circumference of 43.5(49, 51.5, 54.5)cm.
The mitten pattern is offered in 5 sizes; XS(S, M, L, XL) to fit a hand circumference of 16.5(18, 20, 22, 23.5)cm.
