Pando is the name of a huge stand of aspens in Utah known to be one of the largest living organisms on Earth. Aspens share an underground root system meaning that most if not all trees in a grove are interconnected somehow sharing the same water and nutrients. This cowl, shown knit in the Birch color of Madelinetosh’s ASAP yarn (which looks similar to birch or aspen bark!) has great texture and looks like a stand of trees. Whether you love nature or not, this cowl is a stunning winter warmer (and makes a great matching cowl to the Slippery Slope Hat!)
