I felt like the sideways shape was sort of played out for me, until I accidentally came across this diagonal stitch pattern. A bit of swatching and playing with reversing the diagonals and the edging and this came together to be one of my favorite sideways projects that I’ve ever designed.

Paris Mill starts with a 3 stitch cast-on and when all is said and done there are only 3 stitches left to bind off. Jitterbug makes for a nice little shoulder shawlette, but a skein of sock or lace yarn with more yardage can easily be used to make something larger.
