“Peara” is the Maõri word for beads.

This scarf’s highlight are little integrated beads, but even without beads it is a wonderful eyecatcher. Because of its construction it drapes nicely and is wearable in versatile ways.

Its length and width is variable, and it can be worked in many yarn weights.
It will look especially nice when using a gradient yarn such as Laceball by Schoppel.

Finished Size after blocking approx. 200 cm x 40 cm

Needed material:

• approx. 100 – 200 grams of yarn (or 800 – 1000 meters)
• crochet hook matching the yarn used (choose a larger size if you crochet very tightly)
• beads (for example rocailles – the hole should be wide enough that the yarn fits through easily)
• a piece of very thin wire to place the beads onto the stitches. You can also use dental floss
• sewing needle for weaving in ends

The patterns skill level is easy, the scarf can be crocheted by beginners and advanced crocheters because it consists mostly of chains, single crochets and double crochets.

Gauge is not neccessary. The pattern runs 11 pages, it contains a phototutorial for placing beads at the end and in the flower pattern and detailled charts.
