Gauge: 18st in 10cm/4in in sockinette stitch (row gauge is not important in this case)
You will need up to 70 grams (for newborn size) / up to 150 grams (for the 6-12m size) of yarn in the main color and a small amount of yarn in contrast color.
The samples were made using Alize Burcum and 5mm / US8 needles, Sirdar Supersoft Aran and 5mm / US8 needles, Katia Merino Sport and 5mm / US8 needles.
Please make a gauge swatch to make sure you match the gauge! The needle size will vary from yarn to yarn and from knitter to knitter! Please check your yarn label to see the needle size the yarn manufacturer recommends to obtain the gauge, make a gauge swatch and adjust the needle size if needed.
This onesie is knit in the round. You will need either double pointed needles or a circular needle to knit in the round (if you are using Magic Loop). You will also need a tapestry needle to weave in the yarn ends and to do the grafting. You will need one stitch marker, one button and a matching thread to sew on a button, one stitch holder.
