Mary Herbert, Countess of Pembroke, was a contemporary of Queen Elizabeth I, and widely regarded as one of the foremost literary women of the age. These mittens draw their inspiration from the Countess, and the beauty of her estate in Pembrokeshire.

~ 150-200 yds of Main Colour (fingering weight)
~ 150-200 yds of Contrast Colour (fingering weight)
Tapestry needle.
2 scrap pieces of yarn.
Gauge: 10 sts and 10 rows = 1” across palm
Final measurements: 8” circumference (4” across palm)
