This pattern was written for my local library’s Teen summer reading program. Their theme was “You Are Here” so I was inspired by a Peruvian people group who wear red-and-white striped tasseled hats denoting their age, gender and relationship status. Super-simple, this would be a good project for teaching a child to knit and can be done in any gauge.
