Whether you are traveling solo or with friends and family during the 2019 Maine Yarn Cruise, this mystery KAL was designed with you in mind. This oversized crescent shawl is an engaging project, perfect for any level of knitter. Whether you’re sipping a favorite drink, watching a movie as you cozy up after your yarn adventure, or just sharing stories with your stitch circle friends, the Philomena Shawl can be your constant companion.

Each clue is a new adventure, just as each yarn store will be. By the time Labor Day arrives, you’ll have made new memories, bought lovely new yarns, and all the clues will have been revealed. It’s a shawl to keep you warm as the season fades and the days begin to cool--a souvenir that will remind you of summer days filled with yarn shop cruising, exploring Maine and, of course, knitting. I’ve named this the Philomena Shawl in honor of my mother—Catherine Philomena—who filled our summers with adventure.

This MKAL is part of the Maine Yarn Cruise 2019 but is also available for sale if you are not able to participate.
