There is nothing simple about this elaborate beaded shawl, a variation on the basic top down triangle. A flame-like, textured center panel makes all the difference. The shawl begins with only a few cast on stitches at the top and increases quickly with additional back neck shaping. After the wavy diagonals on the sides morph into textured diamonds, the shawl finishes with a beautiful beaded edge.

Bead requirement: Seed beads, size 8/0 - 266. Sample used magenta lined amethyst ab triangles available from Earth Faire (www.earthfaire.com). Always purchase more beads than you think you will need.

Dimensions: 78” across top at widest point, 37” long at center back, both measured after blocking.

Chart error in version dated 6/2009 in Ending Rows Chart B: Beads should be placed between yo’s, as in Chart A.
