My Pit Bull suffers from horrible allergies, which cause him to lick and chew his feet. The only way to prevent a horrible secondary infection, is to medicate his feet and put socks on him to prevent him from chewing his feet.

While socks for smaller dogs are available commercially in most pet stores, there is simply nothing on the market to fit his ‘mutton chop’ sized paws. Although I created these socks out of necessity, they are a great way to use up leftover bits of sock yarn! No heel required!

I have included information in this pattern to customize the sock size to fit almost any dog.

This pattern uses toe-up, Magic Loop, in the round and using Judy Becker’s Magic Cast-on, I have included links to helpful tutorials in this pattern for these techniques.
