This is a very easy pattern for a confident beginner. It is worked in the round, and is strictly single crochet, although the body of the bag is worked in a version of single crochet where you work every other stitch into the row below, which gives some extra thickness to the bag as well as an interesting texture. Making the bag longer or shorter is a simple matter of repeating more or less of the rows that form the main body. If you want the diameter to be larger or smaller, that would require you to refigure the beginning chains and ending chains, which you’re welcome to do, but this pattern doesn’t provide those instructions. This bag is meant to be of a fairly small, compact size so that the finished product can be easily carried on a purse, or leash, without being too big and bulky.
