Style
The pleats add fun interest to the sweater which otherwise has a very simple shape. The crop length (and can be made longer) lends itself to flatter most body types. I knit this in a wool tweed but I would like it just as well in a cotton for the spring.

X-Small 6, Small 8-10, Medium 12-14 Large 16
Gauge 4.25 sts. = 1” or 17 stitches and 24 rows = 4” square in Stockinette stitch

Yarn 5/5/5/6 skeins Ultra Alpaca (50% Alpaca 50% Wool 100 grams/215 yards) from Berroco. Any yarn that achieves the gauge of 4.25 sts per inch and 6 rows per inch is perfectly fine to use.

About 10 yards of a thin yarn in a contrasting color to mark the pocket and the pleats. (optional)
