This pattern was designed for the {Among Friends} Yarn Club with Sincere Sheep and Knitted Wit.

This mitt and hat set features a charming loop stitch that looks like a cable, but isn’t! The graduated columns of loop stitch on the mitts echo your pointing fingers. Your choice of cap or beret features a sideways knit band of loop stitches; the body of the hat is picked up along the edge of the band.

The pattern uses approximately 330 yards/4 oz/114 g of DK weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit DK, 85% Polwarth Wool, 15% Tussah Silk. (approx 50 g/150 yards for mitts, 62 g/180 yards for hat) Gauge is 6 st/inch in stockinette stitch for mitts, 5 st/in for hat; I used a US size 3 needle for mitts, size 5 for hat.

Charts and line by line instructions for loop stitch detail are included.
