Notes:

  1. This pattern was written with the beginner in mind and includes lots of pictures to help along the way
  2. This pattern is written in US terms
  3. This pattern was written for the right handed crocheter
  4. Pattern includes 3 sizes: child (fits ages 5-10), teen, and adult
  5. Pictures are for the adult size to see the stitches the best
  6. Numbers in parentheses at end of rounds are total number of sts for round
  7. This pattern has been tested using the recommended yarns only, however Bernat and I Love This Yarn brands match us well with RHSS yarns and make good substitutes
  8. The scarf potion of this pattern is created using double strands, and the furry hood portion is worked up using a single strand of yarn along with a single strand of lash max/ lash lux (or other comparable bulky 6 weight fun fur/ eyelash yarn)
  9. Lash Max and Lash Lux yarns are different than normal eyelash or fun fur yarns. These yarns are bulky whereas the eyelash and fun fur are not as thick. IF you use eyelash or fun fur yarns your items will be slightly smaller than shown (not much but there is a difference).
  10. The finished product is very thick and warm. The scarf/ glove portion is intentionally made longer so that you can criss-cross the scarf (keeping your neck warm) and still put your hands in the paw gloves
  11. Unless stated, starting chains do not count in stitch count
  12. Adult Scarf Gauge: 9 DC = 4”, 4rows = 4 1/2”
  13. Child and Teen scarf gauge: 12 DC = 4”, 6 rows = 4”
  14. Recommended care for finished product: wash on gentle cycle in cold or lukewarm water, lay flat to dry. DO NOT use a dryer as the tossing around in the dryer causes the fur to knot up in places (learned the hard way )
  15. Have fun with it! Change up the colors!
