This pattern shows you how to make Portia the Pug and her puppies in the amigurumi style. She is about 11cm tall and 9cm from nose to tail. The tiny babies are only 4 cm and 5 cm. So cute!

The pattern for the puppies is also available at no charge.

You will need to know the following stitches:

Magic Circle (MC)
    Slip stitch (slst)
Chain (ch)
Double crochet (dc)
Double crochet together (dctog)
Half treble (htr)
Treble (tr)

Special Stitch:

Puff st (make 3tr together in the same st)

You will need:
3.5mm crochet hook
DK Yarn (I have used Stylecraft Special DK):
• Colour 1 (Parchment) Approx 30g
• Colour 2 (Dark Brown) Less than 10g
• A very small amount of both black to embroider a face
• A teeny-tiny amount of pink if you want to give pup 1 a tongue.
A pair of 10mm safety eyes in brown for Portia
2 pairs of 6mm safety eyes in black for the pups (alternatively embroider eyes)
Large-eyed, needle for sewing in ends and sewing pieces together
polyester toy fill, for example but see ‘Tips’ to the left
A stitch marker might be useful to help you keep track of your rounds
