The Power of the Heart socks is the fourth pattern in the Affirmation collection. The lace stitch pattern is original and based on the word Power. The pattern forms little heart shapes, hence the name of the socks. The stitch pattern is given using both charted and written instructions. It is not necessary to use charts in order to work this pattern.
The socks are worked top-down with a Strong heel.

The pattern is offered in three sizes, Small, Medium and Large, to fit a foot circumference 7”-7 ½” (18-19cm), 8”-8 ½” (20-21.5cm), 9”-9 ½” (22.5-24cm) when worked to pattern tension of 8 st/1” (10cm) over stocking stitch.

You will need:
up to 400 yards (360m) fingering weight sock yarn
2.25mm (US1) needles for knitting in the round
2 stitch markers
Darning needle

You need to be able to: work flat and in the round, work lace from either charted or written instructions using common increases and decreases, graft a toe using Kitchener stitch
