You can use different CC colours. It would also look nice with a self striping yarn, etc. Option for a slouchy hat is also provided. Many possibilities!

It is important to actually measure your child’s head and not only rely on the age labelling. Additionally, you might want to pick a size that is slightly smaller than actual head size (0.5-1” smaller is fine) for a perfect fit.

24 sts = 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking

• MC: 60 (70, 80, 90//100, 120)
CC: 30 (40, 50, 55//60, 80) yards of Sport weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• 16’’ circular needle US # 5 (3.75 mm) or any size required to obtain gauge
• Double pointed needles US # 5 (3.75 mm) or same size as circular needle used.
